A external scsi cable(68pin) I got for like 2 bucks has a crack on its metal connector sleeve(the physical part that protects the pins), I want to know will make the cable electrically unuseable or make it too unreliable for data, thanks.

Btw, though I didn't have any devices to test, it did hook up fine with my scsi card's external connector.
