I just got around to watching this tonight. Still one of my favorite current shows, although I doubt it'll run more than a couple more years.

Still, I was caught a bit off guard as it sure seemed like they were setting Elliott (Sarah Chalke) up to leave the show for good. Got online after watching and found this article:

Looks like she's probably gone

She had become my favorite lead character. The fact that her character was cute and a neurotic mess made her uber hot IMO.

Sad shes going but she wasnt one of my favs on it.... I hope it continues because it is by far the best comedy on TV these days.

According to one of TV Guide's columnists, she's not gone. They're even supposed to be building a set for her new job

Question: You were right ? Elliott bolted Sacred Heart on Scrubs' season finale last night (Ask Ausiello 4/27). Does this mean Sarah Chalke isn't returning next fall? ? Matt Roush

Ausiello: Thanks for the question, Matt. But you could have just walked over from your huge office to my tiny, cramped cubicle and asked the question to my face. But if you wanna be like that, fine. Nope, Sarah's coming back. In fact, I hear the new hospital Elliott goes to work for will be featured quite regularly in next season's stories. Producers are even constructing a new set!

I was wondering the same thing yesterday, great news that she's not leaving. She can be a bit annoying but shes hot and hilarious otherwise.

As much as I love all the characters (they're really set up a very large cast of regulars) the show could actually lose any of the main or secondary characters (outside of Dr. Cox and JD) and still plug on ok. But those 2 central characters are indispensable.

Id say Turkleton should be considered a must have also...without JD, Cox, and Turk, I doubt they'd survive

Just finished...great episode. I love it when Scrubs does their version of a serious scene...it's so poignant and yet they switch gears so effortlessly.

J.D., Cox, Turk, Bob Kelso, Janitor, the Todd.... you can't possibly replace any of them. I'm sorry but that's what makes the show so great. There aren't any crappy characters.
