I plugged my Sony 27" WEGA into my 8500le video card (using the s-video cables). I can see the display however it is scrolling and in black and white. It does this right from when I boot up the computer, not just when windows is running. Anyone know any tips for fixing this annoying problem?

Make sure it's in PAL/NTSC (whichever for your country), not the other.

Unplug the Coax cable from the back of the TV to stop the rolling lines.

i agree w/ Confused's comment above...my bro has a oem R8500 that was defaulted to PAL, but had to be changed to NTSC via the ATI control panel to stop the scrolling effect

Hi

I had the same problem this evening.
And when I looked at displays in the properties for the card, the TV option is dimmed. Can I only adjust the properties when the tv is plugged in? (To switch it to NTSC). Because isn't that kind of self defeating? IF I need to change it to NTSC, I need to do it with the tv plugged in, but if I have the TV plugged in I can't see a thing.

Help. >_<
