This seems like a simple thing, but it really has me bothered about the new forums. Ever since the switch, I've been having an annoyance in viewing the threads because the scrolling behavior has changed.
The best way (but not only way) to see the problem is to do this:
1) Use IE as a browser (others have said it isn't an issue in some browsers).
2) Open up a long thread.
3) Click anywhere on a post.
4) Hit the page up/page down button. Or hit the arrow keys. Nothing.
5) Move your hand back to the mouse, find the scroll bar, and click it.
6) Now the page up/page down buttons and the arrow keys work.
I know it is a minor issue, but I frequently switch to a window and want to type and scroll around as I read and think about other posts. But the page up/page down keys are disabled over and over again as I do this. In the former forums, it wasn't a problem they scrolling keys always functioned as they should. Heck, even with the new forums if you aren't in a thread window, the keys work as they should. I don't know what is wrong when you are in a thread, but I would really appreciate it going back the way it used to be.
