Screws too long in Alpha PAL6035 HSF?

I just received my Alpha PAL6035 from 2cooltek, with the Sunon 60mm fan. If I screw the screws all the way in, they stick out the bottom. wtf? Anyone else have this problem? I'm not a big fan of hacksawing screws nor stacking up washers, when I pay $27 for a HSF I kind of expect it to fit together properly. Or did I put it together backwards or something??

did you install hte spacers?

It goes heatsink-spacers(4, one for each screw)-airflow guide-fan.

Not only are there no spacers, but there aren't any spacers listed on the 'parts' chart on the instructions.

Ok, yep, I put it together backwards. The airflow guide has little 'tabs' that space it from the heatsink, and I had pushed it down too far. It's fine now.

Whew.

*note to self: only 1 cup of coffee in the morning, clearly I can't handle more than that.*

okay, that's it..

I guess they don't include the spacers anymore(they could be a bit tricky to install before).

i had the same problem, the air flow guide has little indentations on them now. didn't pay much attention to them at first, but if you keep screwing past that the indentations begin to bend in a fold ;)
