Screwed myself by saving a Doc in 'Wingdings' font....

thatsright

Okay, I was typing a funny letter (in Word 2003) to a friend, and by accident saved it in Wingdings format, from the original Times New Roman. So now when I open it (at home, in Word 2000), its still in Wingdings font, and then I highlight it, and change it to Times New Roman font, and its nothing but boxes, no text.

Anyone have any idea of how I can save this?

Or am I totally Screwed here.....

try changing the style to something different and then, bringing it back to the original style.

Tried that, and no dice...

Can anyone think of something else....

Try highlighting everything, then copy and paste to Notepad.

Or have Word save the file as something simple, like .txt or .rtf.
