K... most of you have seen the wednesday flyer of 6pm-9pm 12% off most items... i called my local BB to see if it was valid.. they said "yes its valid, its valid all day today." so i decided to go at 4pm... i went to pick up a 6800oc video card marked at $255.. i brought it to the front and let them scan the item and the coupon.. the workers there said it was not valid with the video card... the 12% doesnt work... well i thought nothing of it and went on with my day. Recently i check the thread with the flyer in it.. people reported the coupon worked and received the same video card for $231 with tax... Now i'm ripped by missing a good deal, and it was not my fault, they told me the flyer was valid all day and they said it didnt work with that video card.. any suggestions on how i can get in on the deal tomorrow

oh yes it does. Not in all cases, but certainly with retail.
 
What else can you expect from Worst Buy? It doesn't have that nickname for no reason.

On the yelling part, it may work, but it may also get you arrested for disorderly conduct and/or being banned from the store.
 
Though you did call, I fail to see why you went at 4pm when the coupon clearly stated 6-9pm.

It's almost like going to a gas station and wanting them to give you the lower price now before it falls in the next few days.
 
20 dollars for all that trouble? I wouldnt bother since I already got the card, just be happy with it

I work there, and we get a $25 gift card for every customer who we piss off to the extent of leaving the store yelling (or being escorted out).

How are you going to proof that you were in the store in the first place?

from your post, you sound like you have mental problems.

Ok, so let me get this straight. You went early to use the 12% b/c a BB employee said so...Ok, that's fine. You get there at 4pm and when the cashier rung it up, they said it wasn't valid. You heard this and walked off and then finally figured it out later that night that you didn't get the 12%? WTF is wrong with you?

They told you right there, coupon didn't work, yet you still bought it and went home...or did you not buy it. If you didn't buy it, why didn't you come back at 6pm to buy it? It just doesn't make sense how you fscked this up.

If you bought it, your receipt said $255, are you not good at math? could you not tell that you didnt get the discount? Man some people are retarded.
 
if the coupon said 6-9 it probally literally meant only 6-9. BB employees don't have that much control, the coupon probally only worked in the system for those hours. *Shrugs* 20 bucks doesn't seem like all that much imo for a card that expensive.

yea, unless you got the name/id of the person you spoke with, you can't prove they told you it was valid all day. even then it's their word against yours. I guess you were trying to buy the card before it went OOS but you failed to return at 6-9 to return -rebuy it.

So the employee was wrong. Big deal! People make mistakes all the time, especially in retail. If the coupon says 6pm-9pm, I would've trusted that more than a Best Buy employee...if anything you should've called back and asked a different person for verification.

Why you didn't go back at 6pm though baffles me. It was your fault. Deal with it.

You were the one who assumed it would be ok to go at 4pm...granted that's not a big problem, b/c you would think that the employees would know what they are talking about.

However, why did you still buy the video card if it didn't get any discounts? I don't understand what you were thinking if you paid full price and didn't realize it. How stupid are you?

And if you didn't buy it, why the hell didn't you return to the store at 6-9pm to buy the card then? I don't get your logic. People like you are dumbasses.
