Long Story Short:

Bought new vehicle
Had vehicle 2 months
Factory Installed Remote start fails
Have vehicle in for repair 6 times, still broke
Dealership scratches my car in the process
Dealership is difficult to deal with and doesnt return calls
Make call to GM
Waiting over a month with no resolution
Customer service is worthless
Been waiting 2 months with me repeatedly calling, still no resolution

I will never buy another, both GM and the dealership can suck my balls. I may buy some GM stock just to wipe my ass.

FOLKS THERE IS A REASON GM IS FAILING, THEIR PRODUCTS SUCK AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FOR SHIT.

American cars haven't been up to par for a bit. This isn't anything new.

Well I've given them the benefit of the doubt, now I hope they go down hard. If they want to know why they are failing, THIS is why

Because you didn't read up beforehand and find out that ALL factory installed remote starts suck?

you brought it in 6 times for the same problem? ehehehhe

edit: that's not very nice of me
you should have tried another stealership after a few tries

i bought a used mazda instead of buying new. i haven't had many problems yet but since i chirped you i fully expect my car to fall apart now

What state are you in? Doesn't this qualify the state Lemon law (3 repairs for the same problem on the same vehicle).

OTOH my ex wife bought a brand new chevy truck. when the fob stopped working and she was stranded, the dealership came out and fixed it onsite. when it did the same thing a week later, they did the same thing. that time they explained which relay in the truck made it work, and how to get going temporarily if it kept happening. it did, she pulled the relay and took it back to the dealer. they replaced every piece of the system and washed her truck before filling the tank for her. id say the dealership issues were localized to that dealership, or at least some of them. the truck itself isnt a bad truck tho.

Lol, you're not why GM is failing, has nothing to do with their customer service and your issue has nothing to do with the quality of the vehicles they currently sell.

You had a shitty problem from a stupid ass service department at some random dealership, it happens. try going SOMEWHERE ELSE.

After two or three tries, why the hell didn't you maybe...oh...try a different dealership?

What you me want to say is that the UAW fucked the US automakers. There is a reason that the cost of a car is typically $3,000 more than the Toyota equivalent.

Don't blame GM for the problems at one dealership. I've been to awesome dealerships, and horrible dealerships. Those problems aren't just limited to GM.

In my experience the stripped down toyotas have been comparable to a nicely equipped GM car in cost. While toyota is indeed making more profit on their sale their msrp is usually close.

I laugh at the OP for buying an American car in the first place.

I drive an American car and it has been 100% reliable.

So do I. It is a Toyota FJ Cruiser.

hahah i was going to mention that.

we have a 1996 Ford escort and it has been great only money we have put in it is nrmal wear and tear. We also have a 2002 van same thing.

Attention Washington: Do not bail out any of the carmakers here in America. Unless they give a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty!

My dad has the same Ford Ranger I bought new in '92. That thing has run like a top and hasn't had needed a penny's worth of repairs, just regular maintenance. American trucks FTW!
