My wife talked to our accountant today. For the first time in history, we're actually getting money back! It's such a good feeling to get something back.
 
I actually walked away with a pretty decent chunk this year too 🙂

Between the G/F and I, we had amost 4,200 coming back. I'm curious to see what happens next year when I can claim $500 in student loan interest, and $10,000 in mortgage interest :Q
 
Since I only made 20k last year (laid off), I had twice as much coming back in taxes as the year before, because I had dropped a couple of tax brackets. Kind of a fubared system, if you ask me.
Anyway, online taxes are cool! Got my return in 5 days woo hoo.
 
actually the tax man (IRS) gets you in the back or the front.

just depends if you overpay taxes, or underpay 🙂 But either way youre screwed.
 
Yeah, I know you either overpay or underpay, but it sure feels good to get a check.

Last year, we owed close to $5k.
