You can't seriously be this stupid. Of course VALVe has copies of the source code - it isn't like the hacker deleted the code off their machines. The problem is huge portions of the network and engine code is freely available on the internet. I imagine VALVe might be rewriting portions of the code to tighten security and close holes in the program.
