Edit - Also, I thought I'd rub some salt into the wound. Those photo cameras aren't manufactured in the US. And its likely they'll also be installed by migrant workers.
 
You need money to get more money. And what's a better investment than installing cameras to catch all the suckers.
 
Well that's just because the production and installing of those items are below the average american persons 1,000,000,000 a year salary range. Someone has to do the work, and apparently the average person is above that kind of work.

I think the extent of the US manufacturing capacity is limited to plastic containers and pencils at this point. I don't think we were ever that good at making high-precision electronics.
