"An error occurred while sending mail"
"error when trying to install an .AIR file"

They do this all the time. They should just pop up a box that says "Yo, your shit didn't work."

/Rant

Anyways, today we have users who all of a sudden get "An error occurred while sending mail".

Any Ideas? Google, doesn't turn up any relevant fixes.

No idea, but I hate Adobe products. Yeah they are useful, but that comes at a price of using poorly written bloatware.

I just installed CS4 master suite (normal install) on my new laptop last night, and it took 2 hours to install, and it caused Windows 7 to blue screen, the first time I've seen that.

Aside from the rare flash crash, which isn't usually too big a problem as it just resets the tab I'm working in and works again, I've never had a problem with any Adobe software.

That new Flash update thingy is so nice. It's fast and takes a second.

A fun one from EAGLE:

It is about time they figured out how to update Flash quickly and easily.
The only Adobe I use is Photoshop 7, Acrobat 6 Pro (to make scans to .pdf)
Flash and Reader .. Everything else they offer, I do not need (might need Premier Pro at some time in the future, but not now)

I swear we spend as much time dealing with Adobe BS as all our other 'admin' software combined.

What kind of royal POS software crashes if windows can't find its default printer???

Much fun: Illustrator CS4. Saving your work frequently might be helpful with a program that crashes frequently. Problem: Saving the file would often cause a crash.
I finally got CS4 to run by disabling all of its OpenGL support with some registry hacks, but now it runs terribly slow. Nice job on the QC there.

I also hate how they make you buy new hardware just to use ONE fucking feature...........

Indeed

I also hate the Adobe Download Manager

Or how pdfs created in a certain way in 9 Pro won't open in Reader 8

Or <insert any number of annoyances here>

Have you guys been able to use that without installing McCrapafee? On 2 systems I had to install their stupid manager, and I couldn't go forward without having the crapware checked off. I had to uninstall it after Flash updated :^S

I haven't run into that issue

Oh and why the hell can't I change the default save location? What if we re-direct My Docs to a network drive so user's data is backed up and they are trying to work from home? What then adobe? They sit and wait 5 minutes every time they save - nice job....

At least it let you uninstall it!

Dude, I'd have gone ballistic if it was difficult to uninstall. I like Flash video sites, but Flash(the only Adobe product I use) would have been gone from my machine in a heartbeat, and I'd live without video.
