Screensaver

With my current rig (specs below) every time the screensaver kicks in and then I return to the computer it locks up. Well, it doesn't really lock up, but it won't come of screensaver no matter what I do. My keyboard and mouse don't seem to function. So every time this happens I'm forced to soft re-boot. Which is a pain in the a**. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I know this seems like a simple problem but I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks.

Try what John said. If that doesn't work, just make Windows not go into a screensaver at all.

Do you have any idea how many combinations of problems could be causing this?😕 Malware, overclocking, bad RAM, etc. More information is important. Have you used Ad-Aware? Have you run ChkDsk? Is the screensaver a download? ETC.

Thanks all for your help. I've fixed the problem. It seems that the screensaver I was using (Windows 3D screensaver) was causing the problem. I've changed it back to one of the original screensavers and the problem seems fixed. Thanks again.

ive had screensavers where i've had to click in the top left corner, or push escape to exit, maybe try that?

Tried all that nothing worked. Only solution was not to use that specific screensaver and go back to the originial screensavers from Win XP.
