screen wiggles........

looking at the screen on my KDS 19" CRT. every so often the display will wiggle ever so slightly. It is so minute that you have to really watch for it and it is not doing this at regular intervals. I have been using the current video settings for the life of the monitor, about two years. The video card, an Asus 5900 ultra, is app. 3 yrs. old. Anyone have any suggestions as what is going on?

It sounds like either the monitor is going bad, or there's some interference.

-Have you tested with another video card?
-Have you placed any new electronics in the vicinity of the monitor recently?
-Have you tried different refresh rates?

It could just be getting old. I still remember my last CRT, a hulking beast of a Sony Trinitron. Purple corners, fuschia-flavored discoloration, a sensitive cord, and having to smack it come to mind 😛 All the same, it survived a few cat-induced falls from my desk and still worked after sitting outside for a month or so, so I never complained. Then I bought an LCD and my parents made me chuck the poor thing into a dumpster 🙁

Shoulda bronzed it...
