screen text blurry with geforce 6800

i have a 17 inch and at 1280 by 1024. it is the native resolution, and it looked perfectly fine with my other card, now it is a bit fuzzy.

There's a clear type feature somewhere. Forget exactly where. You can try this.

Or maybe it's clear-text? Anyone?

He said he tried it to no avail in his original post...

i would make sure the cable isnt getting any interference, you may have moved the cable when you installed the new card to an area with more EMI (near plugs or other electrical devices.

Have you made sure the refresh rate is right? I get the same problem with my 17inch LCD and 6600 GT. if the refresh rate isnt set to 75, my screen goes all blurry towards the center.

I had the same problem with a 6800 that I got at best buy in one of the deals. First card was blurry, replaced it and the second one was much better. I decided not to keep the card in the end, but I do remember others having the same problem at the time. I tried every fix you did, and it was definitely card specific, cause the 2nd one I had was fine. I'd suggest a replacement.

I've had 6800 versions of: BFG / eVGA / XFX( current ) / PNY

Out of those the PNY had the blurry text issue. I used the " image sharpening " slider in the " color correction " part of the 6800 control panel. By using that I reduced the blurry text quite a bit. I use a 19" CRT and I took the PNY back as I just couldn't live with that even after adjusting as mentioned.
