screen size with latest drivers

after downloading the latest reference
drivers from nvidia my screen size
has shrunk.so i had to resize.
is this normal and my screen is locking up
the drivers i had installed were ver 6.35
should i have uninstalled these first
or was it okay to let the latest drivers
overwrite the old ones.

Sure, it can change like that. As long as you can stretch it to fit, it's ok. I've had problems with leaked drivers before where the image was far too smale to fit the whole monitor though (as well as diplaying at 60hz), so this can indeed be a problem.

It's best to always wipe the old drivers out (usually by switching to a standard vga driver for one boot) but it usually isn't fatal if you don't, though I'd still reccomend taking that precaution.
