I have my monitor's refresh rates set to 85hz, and every time I turn my monitor on, the screen shakes for a few seconds. My resolution is set to 10x7, is this supposed to happen?
 
Maybe it's doing a degauss every time it's turned on, or aligning the guns.

Check for sources of interference in your house. Circuits running big lights, like flood lights, will often create distortions.

If the monitor looks fine otherwise, it's probably nothing to worry about.
 
Yeah everything else is fine, probably just something with the monitor (HP mx75, my favorite monitor in the world), oh well just an annoyance.
