Screen saver not working.

I have XP Pro and recently I have notice that my screen saver is not coming on after the alotted time I setup. I have gone in and checked the settings and changed them a bit but still no screen saver coming on! Any suggestions? I have ran norton system works checked for spyware checked for a virus but nothing comes up. Thanks!!
 
There could be a program that is running in the background. Hit CTRL, ALT, DEL and see what applications are running as well as what processes. Do a google search if you don't recognize any of them.
 
I have checked that as well, nothing out of the ordinary that I see. I closed any program riunning that wasn't need to just be sure. I should note that it did go to the screen saver once after I rebooted, after that it hasn't worked again(tried reboot again check all processes). I am stumped. Sad to say that a screen saver issue is kicking my butt, Ha!
It might be time to fdisk anyway, its been awhile and alot of crap on this pc. Any other ideas out there? Thanks!!!!
 
Check the settings for the screensaver in your registry
HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop
There are like 3 settings for the screen saver here. Double check something or someone hasn't changed ScreenSaveActive
I doubt this is your issue since it's the screen saver for the logon but you can check
