Screen Resolution of CRT Televisions

I was wondering what the screen resolution of a CRT TV is. It is never stated anywhere and I'm not sure how to check it. I use a 20" Toshiba 20AF44 (I believe that's the model number) and I am curious what the screen resolution is. Can anybody help me here?

Thanks.

480i (480 interlaced, so only half the lines are displayed per frame) can't remember actual true res though.

There are all sorts of brodcast and video standards and I think 352x240 is as low as it goes for SD signals and 720x480 is the max. As for CRT TVs, they tend to run everything at 640x480 from what I have seen.

Broadcast TV is 480 visible lines for NTSC and 576 for PAL. Assuming square pixels, the CRT would have to be 640x480 or 768x576. The actual TV signal bandwidth is lower, about 360 distinguishable pixels horizontal. (Digital production format is 720 pixels, e.g. on DVD.)
