Trying to get KotORII and C&C Zero Hour to run at resolutions higher than 1024x768. Newest drivers limit the resolution to 1024x768 while XP runs 1920x1200. I've tried older drivers 61.77 & 66.93 on fresh installs of XP, the newest 76.50, 76.44, 76.10, 71.84, 71.80 and the standard WHQL drivers. Tried these games on both my RAID-0 array and a single WD 120GB drive.
I've troubleshooted these games on a seperate computer and they can run at higher resolutions. The drivers on all the hardware are update date and the driver updates for those do not indicate any issues specific to those games. Far Cry and Doom3 work great at high resolutions with some of the drivers above. I've gotten to the point where I suspect it is the drivers, and I'm getting weary the excessing uses of Driver Cleaner and rebooting. Hopefully, it's not a display issue with some forsaken .inf file I need for my Apple Cinema display but who knows. Even tried using 3D analyzer to emulate different video cards, but no luck there either.
I would just hate to concede to the buggy game explanation, so if any one has experienced this issue or might have some insight into the problem, I can finally level my Jedi at something other than 1024x768.
