Screen res issue - weird issue

I support a friend's computer via LogMeIn. It's a basic internet only type of machine, using built in ATI HD4200 gfx. The Windows 7 resolution is set to full (1920x1080), and I can see the entire desktop via LMI. She, however, cannot see the entire desktop at full res connected to a 42" HDTV via HDMI.

I've tried a couple google searches, but I'm not using the right terms, so I haven't found an answer.

What can I try next?
