Screen Recording

I'm looking to be able to do screen recording so I can build some videos and include the screen recordings and not have to use an external camera to record the screen. Using a camera to do this isn't acceptable from a usability and quality standpoint. I plan to use this as a FPV display for my drone so minimum of 8 inches and maximum of 10 inches.

I understand that Android tablets that are not up to Lolipop have more limited options and that most of the apps need 5.0 or greater.

So, which of the newer Android tablets in the 8-10 inch class running at least 5.0 and capable of being upgraded to 128GB with uSD are good choices.

What are the best screen recording apps and I'm not talking single shot but continuous recording.

I've used SCR pro on a rooted device, but not sure how it works on nonrooted devices.

No ... most of them require Android 5 or higher and the ones that don't appear to have performance issues. Given my tablet is 2 years old and a couple generations behind the performance curve they're dubious.

Before I get too far down this road I'm going to have to see how well my current tab does with the FPV function with my Inspire 1 drone (just ordered) -- if it's too laggy there's little point in trying a screen recorder on it. I should know within a couple weeks...

I use some recording apps from Google Play. Apowersoft Screen Recorder and Mobizen are what I consider as the best ones. No need to root your devices and they just work fine.
