Screen randomly goes black for a few seconds

Hey everyone I have a problem that i've randomly started to get just recently. I started to play Dishonored today and the game would suddenly turn black for a few seconds then the screen would go back to normal, I thought it was just the game until I started playing a game of league of legends and the same thing started to happen. My 27" samsung LED monitors light does not turn off or on, the screen just turns black then resumes to normal. Its been happening at the desktop too right now.

This just started happening about 3 hours ago I have no idea why its happening, does anyone have any clues?

Did you get the drivers from windows update.if yes uninstall thems and go to the manufacturer site for it

i havent updated a single driver in the past 2 months or so

Its becoming more and more random. The day before yesterday it was happening quite often sometimes 5 times in a row and then stop and would appear to happen a few minutes or hour later. Last night, it happened twice then I was able to play games for about 5 hours before it happened one more time. I'm unable to predict when and how it happens. I'm not sure what the issue is here, I'm going to replace my HDMI cable and see if there is any issues there, I suspect maybe the hdmi cable connection point from the video card might be damaged some how and I recently had someone mess around with the back of my computer, and I can see that as being the root cause, if it is, then I'm totally fucked.

1. Update your drivers if you still haven't
2. Try replacing the graphics card with another one if you have one, and then see if the black screen still continues

3. You can also try replacing your monitor with different one if you have one, then seeing if the black screen happens
