I've dropped my 7" tablet twice and, both times the glass protector cracked, not the screen. So, that was the best investment I could have made in the device (excepting the SD card). I had to opt for the film type on my S7 Edge, and while the first one I got was a disaster, the one I have now (Armorsuit Military Shield) went on easily and has stayed put. Best of all, it works perfectly with the case I chose, so all in all I'd say no, they don't bother me, visually or otherwise; in fact, I wouldn't own a mobile device without one. Think about it: you buy a $700 device and leave the most vulnerable part unprotected? Even the latest iteration of Gorilla Glass will scratch.
