Screen protector for notebook LCD

Hu,
Do you recommend any type of screen protector for a notebook screen? I would like to protect my new notebook against sratches and stains.
I think there are some very thin plastic protections. It just needs to be antiglare.

The problem is that my screen is a 15.4" Wide Screen.

Any recommendations?

I also wanted a cover for a PDA. Is there somewhere I can get a small one too?

Thanks a lot

PDA covers are regularly sold at retail stores, anywhere that sells PDA's.
In terms of laptop screen protection, I don't see it as necessary personally. I've had my Thinkpad since last August and never had any issues with scratching the screen; unless you try to scratch it or something. The only thing some people like to do is buy these soft, lint-free clothes that you place over the keyboard before you close the laptop up; supposedly keeps the screen from having the keys pressed into it. Dunno where you buy those tho

Don't you just close your notebook when you carry it around or when you don't use it? That's really all the screen protection you need.

I think what fbrdphreak maybe be referring to is a microfiber cloth. Fellowes makes it and it's about $3 at an office supply store.

I am now on my 5th laptop since 1992 - and have never had the slightest problem with scratching a screen. That is what closing the lid does - protects it.

You can set your BIOS in most cases to allow lid losing when running, and have several options. That would protect your LCD if you found yourself in some sort of hostile environment - like a food fight or something. 🙂

That's exactly what I was referring to, thanks
