I recently swapped with my son video cards. ( I now have his R9 270 ).
At the desktop ( in Windows 10 ), my display will randomly flicker. At random intervals.
While gaming, the display never flickers.
At first, I suspected either an issue with the card ( my son never noticed ), or a loose connection / bad HDMI cable.
But the fact that the screen doesn't flicker during gaming makes me think it's something else.
There is no option in the driver to change the desktop refresh rate; it is grayed out at 60hz.
Most games I play, I turn VSync on.
Hmmm... my dekstop is 1440p, but I'm gaming at 1080p... maybe?
