Screen going blank

Just installed a 9800 pro in my sons computer, with the latest ati drivers. Now the computer runs for a while then the screen goes blank although the computer itself is still running. This video card came out of another computer and was running with no problems so I know it works. Had a geforce3 ti200 in there before and never any problems. Used driver cleaner to get rid of all the nvidea drivers before I installed the new ati card. Any ideas on what the problem is?
 
Yep it's connected. The only thing I can think is that the power supply is not up to snuff. It is just a generic 400w supply. I may also have to add another cooling fan as I know the 9800 pro will run warmer than the old Ti200.
