Screen Blank

I am looking for a way to blank my computer screen by hitting a particular key(combination). Any help?

Um, there's that one key on the front of the monitor😉

Actually my computer's output goes to a projector and thats why I am interested to blank it sometime, when needed.

There's a program called Wizmo at: http://grc.com/files/wizmo.exe that lets you do that and more with a shortcut to the program. From the shortcut, you can assign a key combination that will run it. Sounds like it will work fine for just darkening the screen, although it can also put your monitor into power-saver mode and stuff like that.
