Just got back from Burbank. Here's an update for everyone: The price as of yesterday was $54.99, but they changed the price today to $79.99. If you're quick, you can get there before they change the tags, and then get the price adjusted. However, another Anandtecher and I already hit up the Burbank store right when they opened, so they wisened up and changed the price while they were printing our invoices. They only let us have one each. However, I went ahead and bought two more after I finished my first purchase. I'm going to have it price matched at another Fry's. If anybody needs a scan of the receipt to pricematch, I have it posted at www.cimcity.com/receipt.jpg. I have to look out for my fellow Anandtechers. You guys have saved me a bundle this year. In Burbank, they have a few more units left (4). Rebate is still valid, but they were out of forms at Burbank. Good luck, y'all. :D

I just got back from Fremont Fry's and made out with 3, while another guy (anandtecher, I'm guessing) scooped up the remaining 4. Price came out as $79.99...so I don't know if Palo Alto was a goof, but I'm gonna find out and get a price adjustment. Rebate asks for UPC and rebate form only, but I called the rebate center and they suggested I send a copy of the receipt as well. Rebate good for purchases from Fry's betwee 12/5-12/12.

UPDATE: price at Palo Alto is $79.99...so looks like it's just a reg. deal...no longer screaming hot.

If a Fry's is out of rebate forms, where would you get them, at another Fry's? It's a Fry's rebate, so you can't print it out anywhere on the web, right?

My local Fry's had a bunch of them, but they were $79.99. If receipts aren't required for the rebate, does anyone want me to pick one up for them? You'd just pay me what I paid (8% tax), plus shipping.

Just got back from the stores in Fountain Valley and Anaheim, CA, both stores have it for $79.99. Anaheim stores has about 30 of these on shelf, in case anyone in So Cal is interested

DOH!!! I went to the Anahiem Fry's today! They were all gone. I also taked to a sales associate, they said they wouldn't let me take a rain check. I'ma goto the Burbank one tommorow

I dun wanna make a 45 minutes trip for nothing.Dang.....I wanna call the Anaheim Frys........

Frys in san diego has about 15 of these left, marked at 99.99, but they ring up as $54.99 and they checkout person will give you the rebates for $50 off as well.

I grabbed a few for gifts at around 10.30 this morning so theres still plenty for the taking.

thanks i'll give it a try after work...couldn't find any at the sunnyvale store on lawerence or the one in san jose on brokaw :p...all those foreign sale people had no clue what i was talking about.

Does anybody know or have had the experience of PM at Fry's? Will they accept a printout of a copy of someone else's reciept? Do appreciate RichC for posting a copy of his receipt.

Just went to fry's at sunnyvale, they have plenty of them. Marked 99.99 but ring up to be 79.99, you have to ask the cashier to get the rebate form.

I remember that's aisle 21, close to sound card section. They have at lease 30 I believe, especiallly on the top shelf. Good Luck.

man, it was a no go. we went to the store with the receipt, they called the bubrank store adn burbank store said taht it was a mistake and that the price was 79.99. i was really looking forward to a $5 mp3 player too :(
