she deserved it. she resisted arrest, and assaulted him.....he was very calm the whole time, he did the right thing
i'm sure the mother will try and sue though, saying it's racially motivated

That guy waited a damn long time before he did anything. I'm actually shocked and amazed by the amount of restraint he used. He knew he was dealing with a minor and acted accordingly. Does that mean that just because the girl is a minor he's going to let her brake the law? Of course not. He was very firm and warned her, even admitting that he's being so reluctant to use force due to her age. She wouldn't cut her BS, he kept feeding it to her and she bit him. Then, the game is over; minor or not, she got what she needed in order to comply.

I hope they add assaulting an officer to her charge.

First off, in this day of HIV positive folks, biting a person shouldn't be tolerated at all, especially by police officers. This guy has no idea if the girl has HIV or any other disease that could be easily spread by a bite. I think he exercised incredible restraint after being bitten.
What he's dealing with here is a brat who's probably always gotten away with anything she wanted to, just by uttering an insincere "I'm sorry" afterwards. Maybe if she'd gotten her butt whooped a bit in her life by someone who cared enough to do so, she'd be a bit more behaved, and would have learned that rules are rules........not just inconvenient suggestions she can ignore. Oh yeah, but the vast majority of states have mamby-pamby laws that prevent anyone from spanking their kids, and enough people teaching them early on in life that they have the right to misbehave without fear of being touched, that they don't ever learn right from wrong, do they?

Sorry, but I have ZERO compassion for that young lady. She didn't get half of what she deserved.
