there's a lot more to life than your education. The environment you grew up in conditions the way you think. If you were scraping the bottom your whole life, it's very hard to learn to look at how much you have, rather than how much you have not.

It was nearly impossible for me to make this transition. 3 years of employment making a good bit of money, having a solid 5 figures in the bank, and faith, and I'm finally coming out the other end.

I used to be so angry at democrat-voting-black people, illegal immigrants, welfare recipients, people taking 2 years unemployment...now I understand how much work it is to overcome these invisible barriers.

I have no problem with them taking into account someone's life circumstances.

I DO have a problem with them taking into account race.
