My point is our Government should be able to understand that effective, secure & convenient email is not an option today its a requirement. We should be able to get consensus to fund, maintain and replace aging computers, handhelds and servers like any other business does. Admittedly Hillary's private server was most likely to keep freedom of information trolls away. We all need to acknowledge she gets trolled far more than anyone else. This isn't meant to be an excuse.

Agreed, although "freedom of information trolls" could also be pronounced "the people". Unless you prefer your government to be unaccountable.
 
GOP is a dysfunctional party of Nixon, which is nothing more than an instrument of corporate corruption, that has no place in modern American politics.
The sooner they disappear and a decent opposition party emerges, the better America will be.

This whole accountability routine from the Right is laughable. Accountable for what?

Being accountable for results is the most important part & that's where Repubs fail.

It's not like that trickle down economic policy has worked out real well for the vast majority of us.

There are the small matters of the invasion of Iraq, the housing bubble, the Patriot Act & the detention center at Gitmo, none of which Repubs have ever owed up to at all.

We could go on about 7 years of utterly spiteful obstructionism & their obvious desire to replace govt power with corporate power. What kind of accountability do you figure will come along with that?

It's much better to figure out who sent that later to be classified information to Hillary's email server, what "really" happened at Benghazi, why the IRS was picking on billionaires who skirt the law or the "layers" in Obama's birth cert. You know, the really, really important stuff.

I think that's the only way, but Republicans have already trenched in so deeply on this I'm not sure they'll come out of it even then.

You know the more I think about it, and as much as I hate to say it, Trump really is the enema that the GOP needs. His stealth insurrection is possibly the best thing to happen to the republican party in decades. Without him, his supporters would never have known how liberal they are (and they still don't know it, which is hilarious).

Silent majority? No, just like mid-term elections, primary voters (and mid-term election voters) are just dependable, old, conservative voters.

Here's the thing. Barack HUSSEIN Obama has been in office for 7 years. Of course Republicans who've been trained to yelp and holler and complain about things being "shoved down their throats" for the past 7 years are coming out to vote for someone who will replace him.

Just like after 8 years of Bush, Democrats turned out in record numbers.

Add to that Strongman Trump getting the base all hot and bothered, and there's your record turnout.

Democrats? The nominee is pretty much guaranteed to be HRC, as most Democratic voters aren't all that interested in upsetting things by putting a Democratic socialist into the White House.

If voter turnout is even remotely like 2012, Democratic Tomato Can beats Republican Tomato Can. Nevermind 2008.

Rmoneyslide2012 may just be Trumpslide 2016...just don't get your hopes up. Trump still has to win 51% of the delegates in order to avoid a brokered convention.

Clinton is probably going to be our next president, so start to make yourself comfortable with that. Blocking a SC nominee might sadly end up working for 1/4 of a presidential term, but I doubt it will work for a full 4/4 without consequences.
