Ok, so Governor Scott Walker had these reforms a few years ago that took a bunch of money out of schools to help balance the state budget. As of July 1, the people of Wisconsin will get a state income tax cut with the surplus that these reforms have created. Let's look at some simple math:

The amount of money that the average Wisconsinite will save each year as the result of Walker's reforms : $83
The amount of money that the average Wisconsinite will lose each year as the result of the increase in the federal payroll tax: $1,040

WTF Scott Walker? $83? That's nothing. The liberals were whining that his reforms were Armageddon. Really? Armageddon only got me $83? Walker didn't go too far. He didn't go far enough! We need more tax relief!

Seriously though its all about ratios that caused the issues a small amount take a a cut so that a larger number could get an smaller amount saved.

The state budget is far more balanced. tons of teachers jobs were saved.
 
Scott Walker is a fiscal moderate. He favored reducing education spending but he increased the police budget meaning that he doesn't have much faith in private gun ownership... by doing so, he's also raising the price individuals pay for firearms by giving so many of them to the cops.

Walker can go suck a big fat penis.
 
I like Scott Walker a lot. WI has never had a governer like him, and I think he's a transformative figure. the effects of his policies won't be fully seen for a decade. he looks at decisions more long term than most politicians.

Example, turning down the medicaid expansion. Short term, that appears to be not the best choice, but you can guarentee that the federal govt will cut back on funding in the future, and WI would be hung with a huge unfunded bill. Now, that won't happen. In 6-7 years, MN, IL, and other states will be mega hurting, WI will be coming out roses.

I'm all for what Walker did. He didn't execute it as well as he could, but the ends surely justified the means (and I have many, MANY friends that are public servants in WI, including many, MANY teachers.)
 
Who the hell cares about schools. I'm not in school anymore, nor is any member of my family. Now that I'm free and clear why the hell should I have to reach into my wallet and pay something towards it? Fucking liberals.
