Michael Cera plays....Michael Cera once again! I've heard you'll probably like this movie even if you don't like Michael Cera. I'm not taking any chances though. I'm not going to go see a movie just because it has bunch of video game references.

lol... yeah, Michael Cera is relaly a one dimensional actor but he fits the character great. Its not only video game references, its a very clever movie that blends fantasy with real life seamlessly and pulls it off amazingly well. Its a very different from anything I've seen before and I brought my friend who isn't into video games at all, and he loved it.

I'm definitely getting it on blu-ray when it comes out.

I would see it if it had anyone but him in it. He makes me want to vomit.

It was average. Too many fights and no character/relationship depth. That vegan boyfriend sequence was absolutely painful, cringeworthy actually. I was very much boreed by the end of the film.

A shame because I really like Edgar Wright as a director and as a person from all of the interviews I have heard/read. I actually like Michael Cera. I do not understand why people get so bent out of shape by a guy sticking to the things he does well.

Looks like Kung-Fu Hustle meets Dude Where's My Car from the commercials I saw. Then I read the synopsis was like Cera has to beat up something like 8 ex-boyfriends to get the girl. First of all, sloppy seconds anyone? Secondly, Cera couldn't even beat himself up if you spotted him a black eye and 2 broken ribs, give me a break. And people who color their hair like that should be shot, the girl may be "hot" in real life but when you make her look like an emo smurfette all the video game references in the world wouldn't get me into a theater to see this.

I thought it was pretty funny, but not fantastic. Enjoyed the video game references for sure.

I'm an enormous fan of the graphic novels but I felt let down by the movie.

Whenever you condense six novels down to one movie you're going to cut wide and deep. The result here however was the audience is never really given a reason to cheer for Scott, for Ramona, or for the relationship of Scott and Ramona. There's no reason to feel a payoff by the movie's end.

Past that, I suppose the action felt a little rushed - you had the choreographer of The Matrix II, make full use of him! Arg. Well, still, it was a fun watch.
