In the UK they have ASDA stores that seem remarkably similar. Don't know if the chain is owned by the Walton tycoons though.

They also have Sam's Clubs, I've been to both Wal-Mart and Sams in ShengZheng (I think that's how you spell it) and they're really nice, nicer than the ones in the U.S. Most chinese people can't afford to go there. They're more like nice department stores that sell food and house supplies.
