The P4/Mobo combo was 199. They also had P4Celeron/Mobo combo and some AMD combo, I believe AXP2700/KT600 combo (NOT hot), but I don't remember the prices. Try looking at the broadbandsreport>forums>citytalk>Chicago>monthly frys update thread - I think it should have the prices listed. Or call the store.

Seems so... lots of ppl also had COBY progressive DVD player in their carts and some kind of internal DVD drive in their carts, but I don't know the price on those, and frankly I don't care cuz I don't need those.

Its the Coby DVD223 Progressive Scan DVD Player for $24.99+tax. Plenty in stock, limit one, today only.

The AMD bundle has the ECS "KT600-A" Motherboard and a AMD Athlon XP 2700+ Thoroughbred @ $69 + tax. $151 @ Newegg shipped, savings of $77 at Fry's.

Just got back, I got one of the $99 PCs and the $25 DVD player. I'm posting from the PC right now, it is pretty quiet and doesn't look too bad. There were some other good deals that I didn't notice in the flyer until I got home, like the 3.1MP camera for $99 and the laser printer for $70.

I just got back from the grand opening and I was impressed. I grabbed the AMD combo with a AXP2700/KT600 ECS Board for 69.99. I went with a bud and we filled the cart with non rebate sales items. I believe if you watch the sales and shop wisely you can do very well at this store on quite a few items. I am glade to see them open my drive time is 30 mins but I never have a shortage of friends to go to places like this and the computer shows.

I just got back, Holy Smokes!!! that store is crazy, and man it was freakin packed!!! I picked up a stack of 50 cdr's for 4.50 and a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro for $180!!!! Hot Diggity I am gonna be playing me some Far Cry!!

That was a 1 day only sale. They have the same mobo (ECS KT600-AS) and the Athlon XP 2500+ boxed CPU with fan and 3 yr. warranty for $59.99 + 7.25% tax ($64.34). This is for today only.

I stopped over there at the new store this morning, it was quite busy but got in and out of there in about 20 minutes. There checkout is like nothing i've seen before, seems to work well. They have a retail Barton 2500+ and ECS KT600-A combo for $60.00, also have skids of 160gb Maxtor harddrives for $70.00 each.

I picked up the 160GB Maxtor Hard Drive w/8MB buffer for $70, DVD+/-R 8X burner for $99 (minus a $30 rebate...to New Rochelle :|), luggage cart for $20 (perfect for hauling around my Midtower), and some minor stuff.

I saw tons of people picking up a $99 TV (it looked like a 25" or 27"?).

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I also picked up Skies of Arcadia Legends for the Gamecube for $10. It looked like this was their regular price.

Appears that they are only advertising area wide in the Sun Times and the non-Du Page area tribunes? Du Page and local Kane County Tribunes didn't get the ads, but the rest did and all the sun times did.

Couldn't believe they didn't advertise in the Daily Herald or Chicago Tribune, but I'm sure they did ok without it. Picked up the 3 Ghz P4 and Motherboard combo, the $25 DVD player, the free ATX case, 120 GB HD, and some new speakers. Got the new machine up and running with the P4 and it works great.
