Our company system crashed, but luckily we had a recent backup using lonetar. The problem that I had reinstalling UNIX was that when I reinstalled the unix os with lontar on the new server, the SCSI adapter was different than the first server. The system would not boot.
I read everything I could get my hands on to try to install the new adapter (ie. btld). The image btld was good, and would work when I installed unix as a fresh install, but with lonetar, the command "link" would not look to the floppy drive for the driver.
What am I doing wrong? is there a way of forcing the "boot:link" command to look to the floppy drive for the btld?
Please help because I need to get the system up and running before monday! Thanks
