I guess you either hate it or love it. It looks like its ready to have the Clothes Dryer pulled out of it and then the car thrown away with the rest of my cardboard boxes...

anyhow, I personally also think they're slightly on the ugly side... but to each they're own. (still way less ugly than a pontiac aztek)
 
With a shape like that it can't be uglier than the aztek.
I actually cringe when I see that box on lego tires on the road. People will buy anything thats Japanese.

I agree. The thing I hate the most about it is the tail lights. Who the hell decided those ugly ass lights should be used?

I can't stand that car, it's just too ugly. It's like a super-mini-school bus, but uglier.

That thing is butt ugly, but I guess sales are high because people want to stand out, kind of like the stupid half tucked shirts all over campus :roll:

I hate the xB. Only 108hp? I could be way off base, but the first time I looked at it I remember thinking "Hey, a micro-suv." Then I looked it up and realized that if you were going up to the mountains with it packed up with people and gear the xB would have a hard time making the trip.
 
I just saw a cadillac wagon type suv on the road that rembled a Hurse.


Truely the sheep are the only ones who finance such atrocities.

I believe you have it backwards. The eXtra Boxy is much uglier than the Element. At least the Element gives the appearance that SOME thought was put into the exterior design.

How is the xB uglier? It's a cleanly styled vehicle with slab sides a monochromatic theme. The Element is a mishmash of body colored metal and plastic along with ghastly unpainted grey bumpers, roof and side panels.

The color may be good, but the structural styling is ugly as hell. I can't believe someone would willingly drive this. The Scion tC on the other hand is very hot

Cringe all you want, but the box has tonnes of room, and is more versatile than ANYTHING in it's price range. Honestly, I panned the car too when I say pictures of it online, but after seeing the interior in person, I realized that the whole package is genius.

Meh - the car is light enough where the HP amount makes no real difference. I have no trouble getting around town quicker than the flow of traffic.

Dude, the thing only weighs 2,395 wtih a stick. It's a featherweight.
The Element OTOH weighs 3,331 in base FWD trim with a stick.

Scion xB: 0-60 in 9.0 seconds
Element: 0-60 in 9.22 seconds
 
I like the xB too. Nissan might be bringing the Cube to the States soon. Thats a similar car and really nice.
