i'd buy a matrix XRS. spacious, power, althouh it drinks premium and its interior is not the best...

but you get what you pay for: a celica engine with a lot of space.

That 1.8 is a torqueless wonder. I'd rather have the regular 1.8 in the xR or whatever.

One word to describe the tC....PUDGY.
I'm all over the Civic Si when it comes out. It should be ~$22K

I would totally steal your tC, but I'd pass the Camry. Take the Camry, way cheaper insurance, and less likely to get break into or stolen.

That is scary and funny at the same time. So Camry theft is low. And I am digging the extra options for the SE over the LE. Just got to wait for the factory rebate to switch from the LE to the SE and I'm golden.

Thanks guys. I was on the middle of the seesaw and I finally sat down on a side and its going to be camry.

I bought a TC two months ago. love it. wouldn't trade it for a camry. it doesn't have leather as option tho, at least not factory. there's aftermarket shops that do leather for the TC and some do a sh!tty job compared to others.

Why not look at some other compacts in the same range?

Mini
Cobalt
Focus
Corolla
Civic
Sentra

You could pretty much get a top of the line model of any of those for 22k. You should actually be able to get them for much less than that.

yeah i do feel its lack of torque too, but cruising around town and zipping through traffic is a bliss with 40 or so more horses than the XR.

I'd take the Camry, unless you're still in the speed racer age. It has an incredibly smooth ride (when you do a lot of commute driving like me sports suspensions are just brutal and tiring). THe JBL system is also one of the best stock stereos out there.

buying new is for no0bs... why do you buy the latest pc parts? because they are better in every way than the previous part you have right? whens the last time auto technology took a leap of even 10% ? buy a used bmw or something .. you can get a 325 for 19,995 buy it now on ebay 27,000 miles if you can stomach the fact that someone besides you sat in it.. then you have yourself a car 10x as sexy as a camry and 10x more sophisticated than a Tc.. not to mention being faster.. maybe not 10x faster.. but what is :) try picking up chicks in your camry i dare you!

The Camry is about as bland as you can get. I hated it when I test drove it before I bought my Accord. I'd go for the tC anyday

You would rather have 4 more lb/ft and 40 less hp?

both toyota. tC is cooler and more sporty. the camry is more of a family car, and built like a tank. My 90 still preforms like a champ.

I'd rather have a supercharged base model. Would have better driveability then the xRS IMHO.

It is not all about the peak power/torque figures, it mostly depends on the torque/power curve.

The sport luxury class? A Camry? Which world are you shopping for cars in?
