Does it come with factory HIDs? :)

The autoblog article says that the body kit isn't production, which is good, because it makes it look like an old CRX with an underbite.

I'm just wondering who the market for this car really is, though. It's a 2-seater, probably underpowered, and sold by a brand known for off the wall looks. Obviously marketed at younger people w/ the Scion badge, but I'm not entirely sold that the teenage market wants a 2 seater.

I won't call it flat out ugly since that's not the production body kit on it, but when has Scion NOT made a cartoonish-looking car?

It better do 50mpg at 1.0L. Anything less means that it needs to be thrown back across the Pacific where it came from.

Jesus that's hideous, and the color isn't helping.

Scion is some marketing genius Toyota has going. Tricking urban liberal young hipsters into buying various "unique" (read: fugly) corolla body kits for 8 grand...

Also, has anyone seen this Nissan Cube bullshit that's going down?

I like it. Is it similar in size to Smart? How about price? These type of cars should start around $6,999 IMO.

It is smiling with the smile of a deranged mental patient running through a ward with 3 orderlies chasing it.

I can't believe people are buying Smart cars here. It's *Iowa*...we have enough space here for every single person to drive Excursions. The fact that Americans will bite on this thing as a marketing gimmick and are still afraid of diesels annoys me.

Its suppose to get 54-60mpg but who knows.

well, for that price i can see it working, but i honestly doubt it, its compared to the price of the matrix, which is still what? at least 14g's new?

Why stop at Excursions? Why not roll in aTerex Titan and really pin your objection to the mast.

Ugly, but I've seen worse.

It wouldn't be half as bad if it had a bigger nose on it, and if the rear fender didn't end past the rear... hatch? trunk? face? whatever-you-call-it?

*sigh* I wonder how long it'll be before I have someone pulling up along side in one of these threatening to race (revving the glass pack and coffee can tip), AND boasting their fuel economy.

Do young people actually buy Scions? I know several owners, but all are age 50+ and price was the overwhelming reason why they bought them. Heck, when I was looking at new cars a year back ALL my kids independently told me get anything I want but stay away from Scions.

That "IQ" model fits to a T the stereotype of ricer.

Best looking micro-car so far.

Body kit is overstyled to the point of looking awkward, but it's fundamentally hot.

Hope the production model isn't toned down to the point of soul-crushing.

given who i've seen buying smart cars around here i'm going to go with balding men with pony tails being the number 1 buying audience.
