SCIENTOLOGIST TOM CRUISE BLACKMAILS VIACOM INTO PULLING THE "TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET" EPISODE OF SOUTH PARK
Text

Sources from inside Paramount and South Park Studios report that parent company Viacom pulled last night's scheduled repeat of the high-rated "Trapped in the Closet" episode after the humorless Scientologist movie star Tom Cruise threatened to cancel all publicity for Mission Impossible:3 if Comedy Central aired the episode that satirizes Scientology and mocks his sexuality again.

Not only is this the first time that the South Park creators have been officially censored in their ten hit seasons with Comedy Central, Viacom officials also reportedly ordered Matt Stone and Trey Parker not to discuss the reason why their episode was cancelled.

The South Park boys are said to be angry, but will probably get revenge with the manner in which they deal with Scientologist Isaac Hayes' departure from the show.

Developing....

Tom Cruise is a lamer. I hope many people pirate Mission Impossible 3 for massive fress distribution so that less money gets dumped into that steaming pile of shat.

$5 says Katie Holmes makes it into the next Tom Cruise episode, and they rip on the fact that Tom Cruise is absolutely gonzo insane.

You know, as much as I don't care for scientology, it kinda makes sense why someone would do that.
On one side, you have the parent company of Paramount, Viacom, wanting you to do publicity for a new movie. On the other, you have a show on a station owned by Viacom that is mocking you and your sexuality and your religion. As wacky as it may seem to everyone, I am sure he is a bit tired of it.

I wish he would just go away. I do not care how, but I'm sick of hearing about him.

I'm love to pull my own version of "Whats the frequency Kenneth" on him.

His marketability as a major star is plummeting fast.

The studios have to get worried when one of his little public outbursts can put a hundred million dollar plus investment in jeopardy. Eventually they might decide it isn?t worth the risk and avoid casting him in projects.

His giant piles of money should provide some comfort.

when you act strange people are going to think you're strange. there are plenty of actors who aren't talked about for their sexuality and/or religion because they aren't goofy mofos.

....at least not in public anyway.

I think its damn pathetic and hypocritical how isaac hayes can do plenty of shows mocking Christianity yet blows a gasket & quits when his own religion is mocked. And as far as cruise is concerned... screw him. I've been boycotting cruise films ever since MI:2.

Irrelevant.
My point is not that he is not goofy.

According to Wikipedia, they've CC has censored South Park before (sort of). There were some complains by some fans of the Butter character, as well as some opposing beliefs held by management, about the physical abuse from Butter's parents. They told Stone and Parker to knock off that domestic abuse bit. That's the only prior censorship I know of for the show.
