Scientist Discover how Cancer spreads

I hope it does open some doors to a cure/preventing spreading.

My brother passed away from cancer in 1999, so any news like this is good news. Should get my annual Christmas donation to the Canadian Cancer Society prepared tonight.

wow awesome news and kudos to all the brainiac scientists out there that are working on such extraordinary work!

OMFG:

Logical! Bones has those stem cells. AS do teeth.

Can't bleiev eno one figured this out earlier. Not that I would have, but I'm not in the industry.

Ok, not trying to be a total boob about a serious topic, but WTF? I thought cancer was simply unchecked growth, but this article makes it sound targeted and malign - as though it has a survival instinct and a will to thrive, like a separate organism - a parasite ... except since there is no (known) external vector, there's no way that evolution would have ever had a chance to make it so successful. Maybe it's just a poor job of writing on MSNBC's part, but damn, cue the eerie music.

Thus Evolution is fatally flawed!

It's only a theory. We should also consider the possibility that cancer is a sign of demonic posession and should be treated with holy water.

This reminds me of a Nat. Geo. special about killer giant hornets in Japan.
Whenever these hornets would locate the hive of european bees, they would decimate the hive- 30 hornets slaughtering 30,000 bees. It was no contest.
The native Japanese bees, however, knew that the only way to survive was to kill the scout. Whenever the hornet scout entered the hive, they'd surround it and roast it alive. Thus, the location of the hive remained a secret.

Anyways, this news story provides great hope to those who lost someone dear to cancer.
