Hello guys. I've been trying to complete my science project on which material is most adept for blocking a wireless router signal and I need to get variables for it. Can anyone give me a good list of material to use as variables?

Lead?

Well, I'd go with some of the usual stuff you'd find around the house.

Wood
Cotton
Wool
Paper
Plastic
Cardboard
Rubber
Mirror
Water, but be very careful
Magnet
Radio Emitter, pretty much something just to emit radio waves

Then you get into some not so common stuff

Aluminum
Lead
Steel
Iron
Copper
Titanium, but that's kinda expensive
Concrete
Asphalt

Yea, that list turned out to be longer than I thought. I'd expect water, radio waves, magent, and the metals to do quite well as well as concrete.

Hi, Tell us what you want to block it from and we may come up with some help. In general metal is about the most effective for blocking RF. Metal Screen Wire will also work. The shield needs to be earth grounded. Case of the Computer, third wire in the outlet etc. Good Luck, Jim
