I don't think any laws need to be changed. In California you only have to be 18 to be Govenor I think.

Wow... I happen to think he would make a great governor... in terms of ideals. Don't know how he would deal with real problems... but at least he would be looking forward and be positive. Would he be able to solve the energy crisis there?

I'll never forget at the 1988 Republican Convention when Arnie was introduced as...

"Conan, the Republican".... Laughed My Ass Off on that one. And introduced by Ronnie Reagan no less. It is too bad what has become of Ronnie...

California could do a lot worse. Arnie, while he has done some mindless action movies, is quite a smart guy and has made a bundle off of his investments over and above his movie income. He understands economics which certainly seems to have eluded the administration which put that stillbirth electricity privitization plan through.

Id vote for him. Just think, if he ran for Pres, maybe Linda Hamilton could be his VP. (Only if she is a REP of course, which I doubt)

He can run for governer, but not for pres. He had an interview with Babwa Wawaws not too long ago and they talked about it. Personally I don't think he'd be all that bad of a choice. I especially liked when he was asked how he could give speeches about non-violence to kids, but act in such "violent" action movies - his response was that there was very little/no correlation between movies and the real world (sited for example that the same movies are shown in foreign countries as well without any adverse effects).

Hasta la vista, baby!

He can replace a governers "Power of Veto", with "Power of Terminating your ass!".

The pundits would have a field day, but it would be most entertaining. Actually, the history of actors getting into politics have shown that they do make good politicians! (I.e, Ronnie Reagan, Sonny Bono, Shirley Temple, that guy who played Cleetus from Dukes of Hazzard, Jesse Ventura, etc...)

Don't tell me that you guys haven't already forgotten about Jesse "The Body" Ventura as governor of Minnesota??? And don't you know that those two are VERY close buddies. Arnold put Jesse in Predator and The Running Man.

Jesse Ventura is an independent, formerly a member of the reform party. Jesse is actually pretty fiscally conservative, but carries with him socially liberal ideals, and shows he has a lot of common sense. He dropped out from the reform party when the party allowed Buchannon (sp?) to run as a reformer. (Good move if you ask me.)

Wouldn?t Schwarzenegger run as a republican?
