Heh around the corner from me there is a high school and they have one of those radar things with the sign that displays how fast you are going when you drive by. Earlier this morning I saw an old guy in a Jaguar blow through there. Speed limit is 35, the sign read 64.
Haha, that's the problem with those things. Some people like to see how fast they can get it up too. In Toronto 10 years back on one of the highways there was a sharp turning ramp. So to prevent trucks from going too fast, they installed radar and a sign that flashed "Fast" if they were going over the limit. But the problem was alot of people in cars, plus trucks liked to make it light up. So even more trucks were flipping because of the sign.
The only one I know of in Birmingham is prior to a corner called "Dead man's corner" aptly named, considering that people die (or at least frequently bail into the sidewall). Thing is, it's got this radar message, along with various signs warning you to slow the hell down, and yet tractor trailers continue to wipe out going around it and hold up traffic.
