It's odd - Wreckless driving is pretty much the opposite of reckless driving :D

btw, reckless driving? Gimme a break. While it's true that the police can call just about anything they want "reckless driving", that's generally reserved as an extra ticket to hand out to young punks with whom the cops find disrespectful and annoying.

Oh wait, I think I just figured out why some of you call that reckless driving :) :p

Fvck school zones. If, by the time you're 6 and older, you can't figure out how to not run out in front of large, heavy objects traveling at a decent rate of speed... well... there's not much hope for you.

While I do believe in going 20mph in school zones, what you did was stupid and illegal. It's NEVER your right to decide how fast someone else can drive. For all you know, that lady had a bleeding kid in her back seat, and she was trying to get him to the hospital.

I would have passed you anyways. I've passed in opposing traffic over the double yellow before. Not in a school zone, but if I had to, I'd do it.

Talk of passing in opposing traffic over yellow lines ... fvcking hypocrite!

Most people would call an ambulance, one should hope, that's what they're there for.

I jumped into the middle of both lanes to block her fat retarded ass ... she got so pissed ... it was awesome ... I had to share.
It's an asshole-ish move and all, but I'd do the same thing. I know I'm not a cop and I have no right to enforce the law, but I'd have blocked her too and if she had anything to say about it I'd tell her this isn't the place to be speeding.

I never speed around school zones while school is in session or it's shortly before/after school. But cops sitting at the dead of night to give you tickets because of the low limit, that's dumb.

The ticket thing raises the question ... if there were a gunman shooting in a shopping mall, and you pulled out your illegal, unregistered gun, and took him out ... would you get arrested/fined/ticketed for the illegal weapon? Or praised for taking out the gunman?

If your heat was legal and you had a concealed permit to carry, etc. YOU would still face possible legal consequences since you're a citizen/civilian. If the actions resulted in physical damage to premises, collateral damages, etc. YOU would be responsible as well. Let's face it, the laws protect the criminals more than the victims. Use a piece in public like that and you face insurmountable problems in court later. Of course if you saved human lives as a result that would be praised but it would not exhume you from due process.

Cheers!

... I'd take the ticket with a smile, and explain to the judge I was saving little kids lives!

If you wanted to enforce the law, you should have became a cop. Your not so just obey it.

yeah umm... while you were paying attention to blocking the other driver by looking at your rear-view mirrors, a kid could've jumped out in front of you. Real nice.

What if, the next time you do something similar, you cause the driver behind you to swerve out of control, jump a curb and run over a school kid walking along the sidewalk?

I never would drive in both lanes, but I do try to pull up to a car in the other lane and match speeds so the driver trying to pass cannot. Thats funny, and you aren't breaking any laws.

My "pet peeve" is people who go 20mph when the School Zone light is on in the middle of the summer (no, there is no summer school in these zones), or even at night.

Are accidents involving school children lower in the USA than in other countries? In the few places I've been, I don't recall 'school zones.' Do you think school speed zones and stopping for school buses embarking/disembarking are necessary? Are our kids really that dumb? Maybe our kids are not dumb, but drivers need to be told what to do because they don't have common sense (e.g. doing a 180 degree spin on a public road) :p

bad move; Again, School zone is the only place I usually observe the posted speed, but if she was being a dick about it, you should have let the lady pass you, thats when you start to gently tap her bumper. If she is in front of you, she aint getting the liscense plate number,
