School nicknames

moshquerade

No Lifer
Did you have a nickname when you were in school? I hadn't been called mine in quite some time when this past week I was in the mall and a guy I knew in elementary school happened by. I said "hi" to him to which he responded, "hey red". I laughed. It really struck me as funny to hear that again. 😛

So what did the kids in school call you?

I was known as Spanky from K5 to 12th grade. After school that name was a little hard to go by in the professional world, so most now know me by my first name.

All my close friends and family still call me that though

loser, jackass

jk

Mostly "Biddle" which is a mutilated, shortened version of my long last name. In fact - it gets used so much that my new boss actually thought it was my last name (I also go by my middle name instead of my first name) He went looking for something in my file one day and had to come get me to help him because he couldn't find the file at all. He said "Matt, I can't find your file anywhere. The only thing I found in the 'Bi' section was this other guys'" -which was actually mine just with my legal first name (which is not Matt) and a non distorted full version of my last name.

I've been nicknamed Carla (I'm a guy) in HS, its a long story, but basically my first car was a Toyota corola so... whatver

Back off sucka! She's mine!

i'm korean and my high school is predominated white school. they called me twinkie so i was given a new name in the rest of high school years.

"yo twinkie, sup?"

Some friends in HS called me ToneLoc. My first name is Tony and the Loc is from some rapper in the day. Yes, i hated/hate rap thats the irony i suppose. :|

Usually just my first name. I also had the Internet nickname "duosonic" (gotten from the model of my first guitar) which some of my friends would call me.

mason (my second name)

muppet ... was kinda gangly back then, rather skinny.... somehow that was related to the muppets, i guess because they had skinny arms

hair... because i had crazy hair back then too.

i joined the computer society at uni, and honestly i stuck out like a sore thumb. most of them were fat, greasy, unwashed, linux t-shirt wearing goons only interested in games and computers. then theres me a exercise nut, engineering student who always looks presentable and generally doesnt talk endlessly about computers down the pub...infact the pub is the last place you talk about that stuff....the pub is for sports, politics and talking about women.

now i kinda expected that, but when they began reffering to each other with their forum nick names.... yeah i never went back. call me otis on the forum... dont call me otis in real life.

lots of variations of my last name.

in grade school, all the kids would whistle the andy griffith theme song when I got on the bus and I fucking hated the name 'andy' so much.

*rocks back and forth in the corner*

I need a drink. :|

Strangely, my "nickname" was often my full first and last name.

"Hey Abby. Hey Jes."

(In unison) "Hi PaulCook."

*shrug*

Mostly variations on my last name. My sister was a year younger than me, and was known as "Tolliver's sister", even though that was her last name too. And J-Tub.

my names refer to my size so i was usually either Big, Bigman, Big John or Biggie. Yes you get those kind of names when you are 6"7" and 300+ lbs.
