Guy, you should be turning Terminators against themselves.

Already do that, but now Skynet learned that I was taking the CPU out of their heads and reprogramming them so they covered the CPU with a chemical that when exposed to air melts the CPU. :)

I forgot to say they only serve lunch like that shit in foreign countries. This is America dammit!

The subject material itself isn't very interesting. We know school lunches suck, but that's intentional in order to keep costs down. So this is nothing new.

But all the same, congrats to the kid. To get a film into a film festival is quite an accomplishment, especially at his age.:)

Pretty much this. I haven't watched the whole video yet, but I saw the part where he showed the descrption of the pasta and then the actual tray with the food. I would tell the kid "I'm sorry we don't have the budget to professionally plate every dish for you, but maybe you should be thankful you aren't starving in Africa."

However, kudos for actually accomplishing something even if I don't fully agree with the message.

This is a tough subject - just because it doesn't look great or taste all that great doesn't mean the school is doing anything wrong. However there are a large number of schools that don't provide what they are required to provide or have very lax health controls. If its the former - no big deal as you can always pack your lunch if you don't think it tastes that great. If its the latter then the issue needs to be addressed and the school brought into compliance with school regulations

I will admit that I cringed a bit when the mentioned how many salad bars they have. Salad bars (and buffet style eating in general) have some of the highest concentrations of germs you'll find in a restaurant/cafeteria. They require meticulous cleaning and adherence to health standards by both the staff and the customers which I really doubt is happening in this case

It doesn't seem like he really understands nutrition but rather spouts off a bunch of buzz he hears. Of course anyone would prefer a chicken sandwich over five apples for a meal. There are way more food groups covered in the sandwich, and thus it's more satiating.

Alas he's a 4th grader, and he uncovered how deceptive the menu was. Props to him overall.
