School Dances... (and clicknext the geek)

So I've always wondered what school dances are like.. I've never gone to any dances period, except some swing quite a long time ago. Most people I know tell me I havn't missed much, but still I wonder what it's like... geez, makes me feel like such a geek, haha. So what's it like? I'd go myself but don't want to look like an idiot...

Just go with your friends. I thought our dances were boring. So we went to private girls school dances.

 

Our dances were ghetto. One year, two people were found having sex on the outskirts of the cafeteria, where the dance was held. It was sketchy. Very sketchy. I only went to the formal dances (Homecoming, Sadie Hawkins, Prom).

nyc high schools only has one dance.. and its the Prom.

My dances were great. All guys school, so we'd show up with our friends, girls would show up with theirs (at least a 2-1 ratio), and then you'd just go up to the hottest girl around you and just start grinding with her. Fun times.

I remember my middle school dances... back in the day it was something to do and it was pretty fun... you know.. for a dance.

Heh. My school is anal about the dances. Or tries to be. They have very restrictive perimeter guards around the cafeteria that don't let you leave except to go to the bathroom and then escort you to the door and back. Once you're inside - anything goes. Drugs, sex, grinding, and rap music.

They waste all their manpower making sure you don't leave to do somthing illicit and then forget entirely about the possibility of doing it inside. They've been cancelling all the dances except homecoming and prom lately because of a total lack of interest (Who the fvck wants to basically have a field party at school?) and the sponsors were trying to use them as fundraisers and ended up losing money.

In case you're wondering - a field party is like a house party except in a field. Makes it much easier to scatter and provides more room to do things. It also tends to involve heavy equipment like battery banks and generators for the music (And beer coolant systems), and occasionally live music.

So you went to the strip club then?

I DJ'ed a few of my school dances They were always good times, more of a social gathering than a dance though, except for some of the girls doing stupid line dances.
