I jsut looked through over 35 scholarships in a lsiting on my schools website. KNow how many I qualified for, jsut from the intro paragraph? Three. Three lousy scholarships. Know why? Cause I'm not a woman, or black, or hispanic, or from a farming community, or a nurse (nurses get a hell of a lot of scholarships) or in the military.....

I am not trying to sound/be racist here, but what's wrong with "White History Month"? Why can't we have scholarships only for Caucasian people?

I think things like racially based scholarships are pretty stupid, your race doesn't determine how hard you've worked and how much money you need. However I think its ridiculous to whine about things like BET and Black History month. Change the channel or close you mind and refuse to learn a little bit of history, god knows different cultures are horrible things

You can say you're African American even if you are not. It is legal, you may find that you associate more to African Americans than to whites.

There's a simple reason why there is no "white history". It's because American history is pretty much "white history" written by white historians mainly about white people. I'm not trying to sound bitter because I'm not, nor is there any reason to be. But that's the reason, in a nutshell.

As for why there isn't white pride month, who knows? I wouldn't have any problems with it.

The complaint isn't that I care whether there's a BET or not, but that it's "politically acceptable" to even have a BET, but forbidden to promote "White Entertainment Television", or "White History Month", or "National Association for the Advancement of Caucasian People". Either it's ok to promote your race or it's not. Don't pick and choose the race.

you know what the worst things are. athletic scholarships.

i mean scholarships. that shoudl mean money for being scholarly. athletes on the whole are not that scholarly though i'd have to think at least some of them are. i'd have to say most football players arent.


athletic scholarships should be renamed, isellticketsships. because that is what they are.
